PORTRAITS IN ART
First to tell this is a portrait in oil commissioned by a good friend of mine Jorge Navarro. His wife and grandson Soonah and Miles. To follow up, “Soonah saw the painting, she cried of emotion,” Jorge, replied. On the other hand, Miles’s parents were astonished by the likeness of the painting.
Furthermore, painting faces never ceased to amaze me. Every person has different qualities with their own character. Moreover, their eyes can tell you a whole story. And Along comes a connection of intimacy shared with the models. On the other hand, the artist grabs that brief moment when the soul is in peace within.
Moreover, about the technique, adding layers is the answer to enhance the depth. I know other artists achieve a fast likeness in an hour, which is ok for them. Nevertheless, I enjoy rendering every piece of it, and it shows in my paintings in general.
SOONAH AND MILES
It is a lesson that I’m about to publish on my youtube channel. To follow the content, explores concepts such as depth, perspective, and gesture lines.
Furthermore, the second part concentrates on learning shading from dark to light details. Then follow by the third session ,studies in the use of ink pen and its use with hand techniques; everything concluded to achieve movement.
Besides ink being a monochrome media, is also a medium for centuries in the run. It has been a tool for communicating emotions as disdain about the calamities of the war and abuse. Adding to these concepts, there are also images of farmers in their everyday life.
Along, creating relies on time to decipher clues. Sometimes comes spontaneously and at times is hard for life is not a formula. Nevertheless, it would be boring.
