Jockey and horses II
As the bell tolls, a thrilling wave of excitement surges through both humans and animals. An electrifying moment that heralds the start of a race. This collective anticipation is the culmination of months of unwavering dedication to the art of racing.
Each jockey represents a unique blend of physical prowess cultivated through relentless training and commitment.
Horses, when given the appropriate care and attention, can grow for an impressive 25 to 30 years, but they truly show their peak performance between the ages of three and fifteen.
This is a period when their athletic abilities are at their most remarkable, permit them to reach amazing speeds. Ranging from 64 to 88 kilometers per hour (or approximately 40 to 50 miles per hour). Witnessing the sheer power and grace of these creatures. As they sprint down the track is an exciting experience that never fails to amaze.
Training sessions commence at the break of dawn, between 4:30 and 6:30 AM, when the air is crisp and the world still. These early morning hours are dedicated to honing their speed, refining their positioning, and perfecting galloping techniques. The discipline involved in these routines is nothing short of awe-inspiring, as the jockey and horse develop an incredible rapport that allows them to work in perfect harmony. It’s as if they share a single heartbeat, seamlessly navigating each turn and twist of the racecourse together.
In my artwork, I strive to encapsulate this dynamic energy and connection, using a loose and expressive style to illustrate movement and vitality. The image radiates a sense of union and harmony, emphasizing the powerful bond between the jockey and the horse. With playful brushstrokes, I aim to bring a cartoonish flair to the piece, highlighting the jockey’s diminutive stature as he revels in the excitement of the race. Interestingly, the horse behind him displays a humorous expression, as if intuitively aware that thrilling moments lie just ahead. My artistic endeavor celebrates the indomitable spirit of racing and the joy it brings to both participants and spectators alike.
