In the painting, the air is dense, and there is an enigmatic shape in a white tunic like a ghost. I wanted to create fear and hope.
Ravens are intriguing animals, the inspiration of many writers. Fear and fascination is their trade.
While other birds migrate to warmer places, they stay with us in the cold winter. Contrary to crows, ravens make different sounds. The most commonly heard is the classic gurgling croak, which sounds as if it is coming from the back of their throat. Never try to harm a raven, they will get back at you.

Another enigmatic bird I have included is the owl, a symbol of wisdom, and enlightenment. An owl will show you things that might otherwise remain hidden from you. So be open to seeing things in a whole new way. Waiting very pensively stays hours contemplating to warn others from portending omens, in life. The Celts and Egyptians regarded the owl as a gatekeeper to other realms—particularly the soul of the dead.
